The first walk of the season at Rainbow Springs did not result in many species, but it definitely was a great morning to view all the beautiful spider webs. Rainbow Springs is a first magnitude spring and is the largest first magnitude in the world. The springs are producing over 460 million gallons of water daily!
We had 10 participants. One international visitor from Norway with the others locally.
We had 20 species. We could not add other areas of the park to our walk as they were closed off due to trees down from Hurricane Hermine. We still had a relaxing stroll and later a great lunch at Blue Gator. The list can be seen at this eBird link.
