![]() WOW!! What a beautiful morning and day. Cool with the winds coming off Lake Rousseau, but after crossing the dam to the other side; very nice. We had birds!!! Brown Pelicans, Bald Eagle, Anhingas, Cormorants, Great Blue Herons,Great, Snowy & Cattle Egrets, Ospreys, Sandhill Cranes, Tree & Barn Swallows at the parking lot. Crossing the dam Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, White-eyed & Yellow-throated Vireos, Bobwhites, trio of Woodpeckers, Common Yellowthroat, Parulas, Pine, Palm, Yellow-throated and Prairie Warblers! Did I say we had birds? Why yes, yes I did. Loggerhead Shrike, Royal Terns, and Tricolored Heron at the lock, The island did not disappoint. We had a total of 51 species for the trip.
